On Sunday 19th June we were honoured by the presence of Bishop Cleophas Lunga, Bishop of Matabeleland, Zimbabwe at our Sunday morning service.

On Sunday 5th June Br Christian SSF presided at the Parish Mass on the Golden Jubilee of his ordination as a Deacon in Durham Cathedral - here's a picture of him with our Sunday School members.



Clare College Choir Epiphany Concert in support of Bede House

On 7th Jan we were treated to a performance from Clare College Choir - under the direction of Graham Ross.

The concert raised nearly £1500 to support the excellent charitable work of Bede House in our local community.

Fr Richard presided over his last mass at St Mary's. We wish him every blessing for his continued ministry

at St George's Bickley and thank him for his invaluable contribution over the last three years.

He will be greatly missed by our congregation and local community.

On Sunday 14th December, Fr Gregory Seach , the current Dean of Clare College Cambridge was guest preacher at our Sunday service.

Fr Gregory is returning to his native Australia so we were very honoured that he visit us before leaving the UK. We wish him every blessing

for his future ministry there and thanks for the support he and the College have given to the parish and the local community over many years.

On Sunday 30th November we were treated to a concert by candlelight from The London Mozart Players under the baton of Stacey Wotton.

A excellent evening of fine music was had by all - a great start to our Advent and Christmas Services - see homepage for more details.

On Wednesday 26th March +Jonathon - the Bishop of Fulham, spent a very busy and productive day in our parish. During his time here he presided over the usual Weds School Mass at Peter Hills, following which he met some 6th form students and members of the Senior Management Team over lunch at Bacon's College.


The schedule Fr Mark and Fr Richard had drawn up then took him to Albins, the UpMarket Charity Shop, a meeting at Bede House as well as visiting some parishioners at home.


The day ended with an informal get together including a lovely meal (provided by Helen and Florence) at St Mary's with it's PCC.
